IPL 2023: MS Dhoni is making sure he has covered every possible angle as Chennai Super Kings prepare for the 2023 Indian Premier League season. The CSK captain is practicing for long stretches of time in the nets to find his rhythm. IPL 2023 is expected to be a momentous experience as it could mark Dhoni’s final participation in the league. The 41-year-old has not yet stated if he intends to continue competing in the lucrative league after the 16th edition. Dhoni will captain Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as they attempt to capture a record-tying fifth IPL championship.

During the team’s first season in 2008, Dhoni has been a member of the CSK camp and has guided them to victories in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021. The captain of the team that won the 2011 World Cup resigned from international cricket in 2020 and last played for India in 2019, but he has been a key member of CSK ever since.

Dhoni’s age has made his future uncertain ever since he said goodbye to playing for India in international cricket, but he has confirmed that he will participate in the 2023 season in to fulfil his desire to play at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium. CSK haven’t played in their home stadium since the COVID-19 outbreak caused the competition to abandon the home-away format.
