The IPL mini-auction was held on Friday, 23rd December 2022, in Kochi. The 10 franchises finalised their squads after retaining a set of players ahead of the auction. A total of 80 players were sold with 29 foreign athletes.
The most expensive buy was Sam Curran (England, Punjab Kings) Rs 18.5 crore, the most expensive Indian buy was Mayank Agarwal (Sunrisers Hyderabad) Rs 8.25 crore, the most expensive uncapped Indian buy was Shivam Mavi (Gujarat Titans) Rs 6 crore.
