IPL 2023 Auction: Hugh Edmeades IPL Auction – Hugh Edmeades will be making a return as the auctioneer in the IPL 2023 mini auction set to be held in Kochi on December 23. It seems all the good work Charu Sharma did during IPL mega auction in 2022 was not enough to impress BCCI, as it has placed bets on Edmeades. The auctioneer collapsed during mega auctions, and Charu filled in. BCCI had apprehensions about whether Edmeades will return during the IPL mini-auction in Kochi due to health issues. IPL 2023: Hugh Edmeades health in control, set to conduct mini-auction in Kochi 

  • For the unreserved, Edmeades collapsed in the ballroom of the ITC Gardenia hotel on the first day of the IPL mega-auction in Bengaluru.
  • Later it was reported it was due to postural hypotension, that the auctioneer collapsed.
  • BCCI contacted Charu Sharma, who immediately rushed to the ITC Gardenia hotel. Now, Edmeades health is under control, and he has given a signal in conducting IPL mini-auction.
  • Edmeades is conducting IPL auctions since 2018. He is doing a fabulous job just as Richard Madley was doing before.
  • The auctioneer has a huge experience of conducting auctions, as he has conducted over 2500 globally.
  • Now, he is looking forward to going to Kochi and hoping for his health to support him this time around.
