In her tweet, Preity Zinta highlighted that Arjun Tendulkar faced criticism for being given the opportunity due to his family connections. However, Arjun proved his worth by performing well and demonstrating his abilities, silencing his critics and showing that he deserved to be in the team based on his own merit.

The game on Tuesday was MI’s fifth match in the ongoing season of the lucrative league. This was Arjun’s second match, and he made it memorable by taking his first wicket. He got the wicket of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was the last SRH batter to get out, and was caught by MI skipper Rohit Sharma inside the 30-yard circle.
In the match against SRH, Arjun conceded 14 runs in his first two overs. He was then handed the responsibility to bowl the final over of the match, in which SRH required 20 runs. He kept his cool and bowled good lines to help his side register its third straight win.
After Arjun took his first-ever IPL wicket, he celebrated the memorable moment with his teammates. His father Sachin Tendulkar and sister Sara also expressed their happiness over the 23-year-old’s achievement.
With his maiden IPL wicket, Arjun became the first member of the Tendulkar family to have a wicket in the IPL. His legendary father and former MI skipper, Sachin Tendulkar, never managed to take any wickets in IPL history.
Earlier, in his maiden IPL game, Arjun went wicketless against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday, April 16 at the Wankhede Stadium. He bowled two overs and conceded just 17 runs.
