Bollywood superstar and KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan made a quick appearance at an event in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates on Friday. While returning to Mumbai on Saturday, he landed in trouble with the airport authorities.
The actor was stopped at the Mumbai airport by customs officials. Sources told Times Now that the KKR owner was carrying expensive watches worth Rs 18 lakh. The report further states that Shah Rukh Khan was reportedly made to pay Rs 6.83 lakh as a penalty for custom duty. Shah Rukh Khan was travelling in a private chartered plane.
There are some buys days upcoming for SRK’s franchise, with the IPL retention deadline on November 15. The two-time IPL champions will have to submit a retention list before the IPL mini-auction in December. SRK has mainly distanced himself from the auction, but his children Suhana Khan and Aryan Khan had attended the event last year.
