IPL 2023: Jason Roy to play for KKR? Englishman eyes IPL contract after injuries haunt KKR

Injuries have hit hard for each of the ten franchises in IPL, but KKR have severely been dented with it, as they first lost Shreyas – the most bankable batter and skipper of the side, and later Shakib, due to BCB failing to give him the nod to play IPL 2023. Roy is tipped to take play for KKR, after failing to get any bids in the mini-auction. The England opener did not feature in IPL 2022 season for GT after pulling out of IPL due to mental health.

So far, the right-hand batter has played 13 matches in IPL scoring 329 runs at an average of 30.00 and a strike rate of 123.96. Roy last played IPL in the 2021 season for SRH.
