KKR needed 51 off the last fours, and Russell turned the match on its head, by taking on Nathan Ellis and Sam Curran. The power hitter, though got out in the penultimate ball of the innings, leaving Rinku to take KKR home. With Arshdeep bowling well thus far, the left-aam pacer fancied his chance to defend two runs against Rinku. However, Arshdeep erred in his line, and all Rinku did was flick the ball to square leg for a boundary.
On account of this thrilling win, KKR stayed in the hunt to qualify for playoffs. They are now fifth in the points table, with 10 wins. KKR still have three games left in IPL 2023 season.
