IPL 2023 Captains: No change in captaincy for the remaining eight franchises as IPL 2022 leaders are set to assume captaincy in IPL 2023 season – The remaining eight franchises are set to go in with the same leaders as last year. Gujarat Titans will have Hardik Pandya as the leader, while Lucknow Super Giants will have KL Rahul in charge. MS Dhoni is likely to lead one last time for Chennai Super Kings.

Faf du Plessis will lead RCB yet again after taking the team to playoffs in IPL 2023 season. While Du Plessis could not get going with the bat last season, this year he is in great form as he is scoring runs at a strike rate of 150 plus.
4. KL Rahul Lucknow Super Giants
KL Rahul will be leading LSG for the second time in IPL 2023 season. Brought for 17 crores, Rahul did a great job as the captain of the side winning nine games. He was also the team’s highest run-scorer amassing over 600 runs.
5. Rohit Sharma Mumbai Indians
Rohit Sharma will lead Mumbai Indians for the 10th year. Sharma took over the captaincy in 2013 and since then has won five IPL titles as captain. Last year MI finished last, and the India skipper would be hoping to turn the tide this year.

6. Aiden Markram Sunrisers Hyderabad
Aiden Markram will lead SRH for the first time in IPL 2023 season. The South African star shot into the limelight by winning SA20 League for Sunrisers Easter Cape.
7. David Warner Delhi Capitals
David Warner is likely to lead the Capitals in the absence of Rishabh Pant. The franchise is set to make an official announcement of the same. Axar Patel is likely to be vice-captain.
8. Shikhar Dhawan Punjab Kings
Shikhar Dhawan will take leadership reins from Mayank Agarwal and will lead PBKS in IPL 2023 season. The southpaw has captaincy experience as he has led SRH in IPL 2014 season.
9. MS Dhoni CSK
Dhoni will lead CSK one last time in IPL 2023 season. After Rohit Sharma, the CSK skipper is the most successful captain in the history of IPL winning the title four times.
10. Shreyas Iyer KKR
Shreyas Iyer will be leading KKR for the second time in IPL 2023 season. Mumbai India did not have a fruitful IPL season last year as KKR failed to make the playoffs.
