Among the 10 IPL franchises, only Gujarat Titans have begun pre-season camp with their domestic players. The rest of the nine IPL teams will soon assemble for training and will have extensive training sessions in batting and bowling. RCB are the only team to yet decide the date for pre-camp. The Faf du Plessis-led franchise are likely to start the camp on March second week. CSK will hold a full-fledged camp at Chepauk. In all likelihood, this will be the last season for Dhoni in IPL. CSK officially confirmed the same that match against KKR will be Dhoni’s last for the franchise.
The 10 franchises are likely going to have pre-season camps in their home grounds. With IPL 2023 season returning to a home-away format, the franchises are keen to cash in on the home advantage.
IPL 2023: Gujrat Titans to kick off IPL 2023 by playing CSK in Ahmedabad
Defending champions Gujarat Titans will host Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the opening fixture of IPL 2023. The 16th edition of the tournament starts on March 31st and the last league match will be played on May. However, BCC hasn’t revealed the dates for IPL 2023 Playoffs. A total of 70 League matches will be played including 18 doubleheaders. Each team will play 7 home and 7 away games each.
