SRH to break the bank for Ben Stokes?
With the highest purse remaining among franchises, SRH might surely bid for England’s star all-rounder Ben Stokes. The Hyderabad-based franchise might also be tempted to hand over the leadership role to Stokes in the upcoming edition. Apart from Stokes, the Orange Army might also be tempted to bag the services of Australian all-rounder Cameron Green.
Official working closely with SRH management informed InsideSport, “Team will gun for a BIG ALLROUNDER at IPL Auction. Yes, Green, Stokes & Curran kind of players will be on the radar. But our decision-making will be dependent on the fact that whether these players are available for full IPL Window or not.”
Punjab Kings desperate to sign Sam Curran
Ahead of the mini-auction, Punjab Kings released West Indies all-rounder Odean Smith, and they also have a spot open for an international bowling all-rounder. Sam Curran has also previously played for the Punjab Kings, having only played for the Mohali-based team to begin his IPL career. The Kings from Punjab have the financial clout to defeat the competition and re-sign their former player with INR 32.20 crore in the bank. However, the task won’t be easy as CSK are desperate to get hold of Curran.

LSG to target Ben Stokes or Cameron Green?
IPL 2023 AuctionThe Lucknow-based franchise released their pace all-rounder Jason Holder ahead of the IPL auction. With a decent amount left in their bank, LSG might definitely target the likes of Cameron Green and Ben Stokes. The Super Giants might be tempted to target Stokes as he played for the Sanjeev Goenka team in the 2017 edition. If not Stokes, LSG might go all-out for Green who has impressed everyone with his big hitting skills and the ability to scalp crucial wickets with the ball.
