1. Sikandar Raza

Insidesport

Raza, who brings a wealth of experience to the Zimbabwe setup, has been a key component. He will be one of the senior players to be put up for auction at age 36.  Since scoring three consecutive hundred in ODI run chases against Bangladesh and India in August of this year, Raza has been in superb form throughout 2022. Within a month, he accomplished this achievement for the first time among male players.

Additionally, he had a strong T20 International World Cup in Australia, scoring 219 runs in eight matches to finish as the sixth-highest run-scorer in the tournament. In addition, he managed to pick up 10 wickets, and his outstanding 3-25 against Pakistan in the showpiece’s group Super-12 stage was essential in Zimbabwe’s shocking one-run victory. Raza has set his base price for the auction at INR 50 lakh, but given his present form and talent, he will undoubtedly draw far greater bids.

2. Narayan Jagadeesan

Insidesport

Jagadeesan of Tamil Nadu may be the best uncapped Indian player to choose from. He was released by CSK last month, and in the Vijay Hazare one-day competition, he broke a record five centuries in a row, including a world record 277 from 141 balls against Arunachal Pradesh.

The wicket-keeper-opener carried over that form into the Ranji Trophy, hitting 116 from 97 balls and a 22-ball 59 not out in the first match against Hyderabad to raise his stakes before the auction. If he goes for significantly more than his starting bid of Rs 20 lakh, it won’t come as a surprise.

3. Harry Brook

Insidesport

Ben Stokes believes the young Englishman has the potential to have an effect similar to Virat Kohli. In the three Test matches he played against Pakistan, Brooks scored 468 runs at a strike rate of 93, including three centuries and a fifty. Despite not scoring many runs during the T20 World Cup, he has a strong record in T20 cricket, having amassed 2,432 runs in 99 games with a strike rate of 148 and 102 sixes.

4. Joshua Little

Insidesport

Along with Paul Stirling, Lorcan Tucker, and Harry Tector, Little is one of the four Irish cricketers who will participate in the IPL auction, which is set to take place on December 23 in Kochi. Recently, the 23-year-old Little played for the Deccan Gladiators in the Abu Dhabi T10 League alongside Suresh Raina. Little is currently the T20I player in 2022 with the second-most wickets taken.

The seamer has one four-wicket haul to his credit in addition to 39 wickets from 26 games at an economy rate of 7.58. Little also struck a hat-trick against New Zealand in the T20 World Cup Super 12 in 2022. He followed in the footsteps of Curtis Campher, who accomplished the feat against the Netherlands in 2021, as the second bowler from Ireland to get a hat-trick in a T20 World Cup. He will undoubtedly receive big bids in the mini auction.

5. Jaydev Unadkat

Insidesport

Jaydev Unadkat was picked for India’s playing lineup for the second test against Bangladesh in Mirpur, and the results of his labour of love were finally realised. For Saurashtra, Unadkat has excelled in domestic cricket and racked up some record totals.

The left-arm bowler is anticipated to receive big bids from the auction table and performing well in this match may enable him to raise his price. The IPL 2023 mini-auction will take place tomorrow in Kochi. Since he presently has no IPL team, the auction could be significant for him.
