Rayudu’s departure took place in the 11th over off Sunil Narine’s bowling. The veteran spinner bowled an off-break delivery, and Rayudu got beaten while trying to play a sweep shot, which resulted in his LBW dismissal.

Fans were disappointed with Ambati Rayudu’s failure against KKR at home and demanded the right-hand batter to either retire or leave the CSK team.

Check out some reactions:

Rayudu has scored just 122 runs in 10 outings this season at an average of 15. Notably, CSK retained Rayudu for ₹6.25 crore. He scored 274 runs in 13 games last season. It’s worth mentioning that Rayudu announced his retirement from the IPL last year in the middle of the tournament, but he later deleted the tweet.

Talking about the game, CSK managed to post a moderate 144 on board thanks to Shivam Dube’s 34-ball 48*. Varun Chakaravarthy (2/36) and Sunil Narine (2/15) claimed two wickets apiece as the KKR kept the CSK batters in check. Shardul Thakur and Vaibhav Arora also claimed a wicket each.
