Notably, the RR social media admin was under the scanner on Saturday, when skipper Sanju Samson expressed his anger at his edited picture posted by the team on Twitter, Subsequently, the Royals management announced that the admin has been sacked and they will appoint a new team. However, it has now been confirmed that all of it was part of a big prank.

In a video uploaded by RR, the prank was carried forward in a hilarious manner as players tried auditioning for the role of a writer. Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who is a very popular figure on social media, gave his own twist to famous dialogues of Shah Rukh Khan, while fielding coach and former RR wicketkeeper Dishant Yagnik tried mimicking Sunil Shetty. Youngster Riyan Parag and Caribbean speedster Obed McCoy were also seen trying their luck out.
The judge for the audition was COO of the team, Jake Lush McCrum, and team manager, Romi Bhinder. This entire episode, however, was not received particularly well by the fans, who believed yesterday’s media release stating the change of the social media team to be true. The boys in pink will start their IPL 2022 campaign with a game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 29.
