IPL 2022: Yoga sessions, weight training, running, Ahmedabad captain Hardik Pandya ‘WORKING HARD’ to get fit for IPL 2022

ardik Pandya Ahmedabad Captain: Hardik Pandya is trying all methods available to get back to his peak fitness as he prepares for what is pivotal in his career. Pandya has been on a lengthy break since the T20 World Cup, struggling with back and shoulder injuries that have kept him out of action so far.

Pandya has been struggling with back issues for some time and underwent surgery in the UK after the 2019 World Cup, but has still not managed to put the injury behind him. The all-rounder was advised to join up in the NCA and continue rehabilitation, but opted against it, opting for traditional medicine and Yoga to be fit for the IPL.

ardik Pandya Ahmedabad Captain: The IPL 2022 will mark Hardik Pandya’s debut as a captain after he was picked by Ahmedabad to lead the franchise in the upcoming season. After Mumbai Indians opted against retaining him, Ahmedabad paid a whopping Rs 15 Crore to secure the all-rounder’s services and made him captain, despite his struggles for form and fitness.

Ahmedabad will hope that the gamble pays off as they begin their IPL journey this season. As for Hardik, with the T20 World Cup and the 50-over World Cup coming up in an 18-month timeline, now is the time to prove his mettle and get back to his best shape possible.
