Sehwag took to Twitter to congratulate KKR all-rounder Pat Cummins for his heroic knock against MI. The KKR all-rounder scored 56 runs off just 15 balls and smashed six sixes. The former India opener took reference to famous Mumbai street food which read, “Moonh se nivala cheen liya, sorry vada pav cheen liya. Pat Cummins, one of the most insane display of clean hitting, 15 ball 56.” (sic).

IPL 2022: Virender Sehwag’s Tweet sparked a huge controversy
Sehwag’s witty Tweet this time irked the loyal and passionate MI and Rohit Sharma fans. They assumed his Tweet was a sarcastic dig directed towards Rohit. The fans soon started venting out their frustration toward Sehwag.

The cricketer-turned-expert soon issued a clarification and asked the fans to cool down. He also said the Vada Pav reference was for Mumbai City and not for Rohit Sharma. Sehwag also wrote that he is a more huge fan of Rohit’s batting than most of his fans.
In another tweet, he wrote, “The Vada Pav reference is for Mumbai, a city which thrives on Vada Pav. Rohit fans thanda lo, I am a bigger fan of his batting much more than most of you guys.” (sic).
