Sunil Narine not pleased – The incident occurred on the second ball of the 12th over as Narine’s ball was hammered in the long-off region where Venaktesh was standing. It should have been a regulation catch for Venaktesh, but he misjudged the boundary line and overstepped to hand Miller a six despite clutching him. Sunil Narine was not pleased in the aftermath of that incident.
Miller batting on just one run – At the time the incident took place; David Miller was batting on just 1 run off two deliveries. The South African has been in superb form of late and could make a huge difference if you don’t take opportunities like this. Miller hammered an unbeaten 94 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) recently and has been a tricky customer to deal with.

27th player to score 100 sixes in IPL- David Miller has hit a total of 101 sixes. He joins the company of 26 other batters who have hit hundred sixes or more. T20 legend Chris Gayle holds the all-time record for most sixes in IPL, with 357 hits over the ropes. Ab De Villiers, known for his 360-degree, unorthodox shots, is a distant second with 239 sixes. He is followed by Rohit Sharma (233), MS Dhoni (223) and Kieron Pollard (221).
Miller departs without making much damage – David Miller was looking in great touch but didn’t do too much damage as he departed for 27 runs off 20 deliveries. The innings consisted of two sixes and a four while Hardik Pandya was playing the role of pitch-hitter at the other end. Miller and Pandya put together a stand of 50 runs for the third wicket.
