IPL 2022: Umesh Yadav keeps pressing for white-ball RETURN after magical spell against former side – Watch highlights
Umesh Yadav is pressing on for a white-ball comeback as the veteran pacer continues to prove his worth in the shortest format of the game. Typecast as a red ball bowler, Umesh has taken the IPL by storm, leading the wicket taking charts for KKR and being in contention for the Purple Cap.
Playing against his former side Delhi Capitals on Thursday, Umesh Yadav put in a performance of the highest order, picking in-form Prithvi Shaw off the very first delivery of his spell. He then returned to get the well set David Warner and captain Rishabh Pant, to give KKR a small shot and defending a below par total.
Umesh Yadav finished with figures of 3/24 in what was yet another fine spell from the Indian veteran. The 34-year-old has 14 wickets in nine games to his name, making him one of the top five wicket takers this season.
