Notably, Stubbs was signed as a replacement for English pacer Tymal Mills, who was ruled out of the season after sustaining an ankle injury. A big reason behind MI’s decision to sign Stubbs was his performance in the recently-concluded CSA Challenge, where he scored 293 runs at an average of 48.83 and a strike rate of 183.12.
