While Gaikwad ended Faf du Plessis’s return with an impressive deal, Venkatesh Iyer’s retention meant KKR didn’t opt for Shubman Gill. Meanwhile, experienced Kieron Pollard also failed to deliver for Mumbai Indians (MI).

IPL 2021 Orange Cap winner Ruturaj Gaikwad, who emerged as a promising talent in UAE, flopped badly in India. After scoring 600+ runs, Gaikwad has failed to deliver for CSK except for his single fifty innings in seven matches. He failed to provide CSK with crucial starts which is one of the main reasons why CSK lost 5/7 matches.

Kieron Pollard
The West Indies star allrounder has been a big dampener for Mumbai Indians. In fact, he is only the strong force behind MI’s decline in IPL 2022 as the franchise lost all first 7 matches.
