1: Devon Conway – CSK
New Zealand batter Devon Conway was snapped up by CSK for his base price of 1 crore. There were quite a few eyebrows raised when other franchises did not show interest in Conway. He can bat aggressively at the top and as well anchor the innings. In just 20 T20Is he has scored 602 runs at a strike rate of 140.
2: Dewald Brevis – Mumbai Indians
Dewald Brevis aka Baby AB was brought by MI for 3.2 crores. The Under-19 star of the 2022 World Cup scored 506 runs –most for a batter in the showpiece event. His stocks touch the rooftop after that blitz. Brevis has modeled the game exactly like Ab de Villiers and he is a 360 degrees player. Brevis is also pretty handy with his leg-spin.
3: Rovman Powell – DC
West Indies batter Rovman Powell is in form of his life. He smoked a hundred versus England in T20I and scored a fifty against India. Powell is currently striking at 150. DC have made s street smart buy in Powell. He can take the attack to the opposition and finish games easily.
4: Dominic Drakes – GT
West Indies pacer Dominic Drakes first made an impression in the CPL. He clocks 145 regularly and is also economical. Drakes was fast-tracked into the national team. He has played 5 T20Is and has taken 3 wickets. The Gujarat Titans can very well use him as a trump card and reap rich rewards in return.
5: Alex Hales – KKR
Alex Hales finally found a taker in KKR in the IPL mega auction 2022. The England opener is in a rich vein of form in T20 cricket. Hales has scored a huge amount of runs in BBL, CPL, and BBL. In T20 cricket in 2021, the right-hand batter scored the most runs in power play. He strikes at 160 and once set is very difficult to dismiss.
6: Deepak Hooda –LSG
India all-rounder Deepak Hooda is finally delivering the promise he showed during the Under-19 days. He has also performed well in domestic cricket for Baroda. LSG made a smart buy by buying him. He is a handy lower-order batter and more than capable with his off-sin bowling.

7: Odean Smith –PBKS
West Indies all-rounder Odean Smith was in demand in mega auctions. After a bidding war, PBKS bagged him. Smith is a fast bowler and a superb power hitter in the death overs. In 10 matches that he has played for West Indies in T20is, he has scored runs at a strike rate of 155.88. Smith also has seven wickets.
8: Rassie van der Dussen – RR
South African batter Rassie van der Dussen was snapped up for his base of 1 crore. The 32-year-old has had a stellar start to his international career. In just 2 years he has become the team’s Mr. Dependable across formats. He can switch gear seamlessly as well as play with caution when required.
9: Nicholas Pooran –SRH
Glenn Maxwell had a breakthrough year with RCB in IPL 2021. He scored over 500 runs and proved to be a match-winner. Pooran can also have a similar impact if given a specific role in SRH. The southpaw is also in good form in T20Is this year, and SRH could hugely benefit from that.
10: Mahipal Lomror –RCB
RCB made a smart buy in Mahipal Lomror. The former Rajasthan Royals all-rounder is a bankable top-order batter and a useful off-spinner. He has the ability to play against spin and can be the answer to RCB’s number three solution for the long term.
