IPL 2022: Dhaka Premier League – Indian Test specialists who went unsold at the IPL 2022 auction have found respite after getting to play a part in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League (DPL). The big names that will feature in the league are Hanuma Vihari and Abhimanyu Easwaran. They are among seven Indian players to ply their trade in Bangladesh’s only List A (50-over) competition. Who will feature for which team?
Hanuma Vihari will don the Abahani Limited outfit but is expected to miss the first three games of the season as he heads home for a short break after being part of India’s recent 2-0 Test series win against Sri Lanka at home.
Bengal Ranji captain Easwaran has been signed by Prime Bank while Rasool, who has one ODI and one T20I outing for India under his cap, is going to represent Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi. On the other hand, Aparajith will appear for Rupganj Tigers, Jani for Legends of Rupganj, and Gurinder for Gazi Group Cricketers while Menaria will play for Khelaghar.
Indian players have previously featured in the DPL too. In fact, Vihari, Easwaran, Aparajith, Menaria and Rasool were all part of the tournament before Covid-19 had first struck. It must be noted that all 10 teams taking part in DPL 2022 have been allowed one overseas player.

Cheteshwar Pujara will play for Sussex
Apart from these Indian players, dynamic Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez will be seen in action for Mohammedan Sporting and Shinepukur will enjoy services of Zimbabwe allrounder Sikandar Raza. While seven players are going to Bangladesh for DPL, Cheteshwar Pujara will play for Sussex in the English county.
