The short video reel showcased Dhawan reciting some dialogues of a movie to his dad. Unknown to him, his father became disappointed with Dhawan’s antics, slapped him, thereby making it a funny reel. Dhawan posted the video with the caption “Baap hamesha baap hi Hota hai”, which translates to ‘A dad always remains a dad’.

This video marks Dhawan achieving a new mark on his Instagram profile. The batter recently achieved a landmark of 10 million followers on Instagram. Dhawan is known to post positive posts whose main objective is to inspire his fans. Apart from these posts, he also posts his training and fitness videos. Funny reels, where the cricketer re-enacts movie dialogues and scenes are also a hit among his fans.
Over the last year, it was thought that Dhawan’s place in the Indian Team was done for, after the player’s injury concerns and poor form. But the Delhi-based batsman pounced on this first opportunity he got to get his place in the team. In the recently concluded India tour of South Africa, he started as the opening pair with acting captain KL Rahul and registered two fifties. He scored a total of 169 runs in 3 ODI games, thereby likely cementing his spot in the Indian team.

This sudden consistent form will likely earn him a place in upcoming India vs West Indies series. A total of 3 ODI matches and 3T20I games will be played from 6th February. Dhawan’s addition to the team will push KL Rahul in the 4th spot and thus a middle-order batter will have to sit out while Dhawan continues his form.
