Abdul Samad (Sunrisers Hyderabad) –

  • After a promising IPL 2021 campaign lot was expected of Abdul Samad and there were even calls of a national team representation.

  • Abdul has played only two matches in the entire IPL 2022 campaign, where he has scored only four runs and bowled just one over.

Murgan Ashwin (Mumbai Indians) –

  • Murgan Ashwin has endured a lot of pressure in the IPL 2022 campaign and was the leading wicket-taker for MI before Jasprit Bumrah came back in form.

Shivam Mavi (Kolkata Knight Riders) –

  • Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) spent Rs 7.25 crore to bring Shivam Mavi to the franchise after he impressed in IPL 2021.
  • But like other players on the list he has seen his stocks fall considerably, with string of poor performances and is ultimately warming the bench for KKR.
  • But before he was sidelined he contributed five wickets and at a poor average of 45.40 in six matches, he was always going to be part of the bench.
  • KKR might still give him a chance, but if he doesn’t improve it will be hard to make a case for him in IPL 2023.
