IPL 2022: Styris makes fun of RR- New Zealand legend Scott Styris has made fun of the Sanju Samson-led IPL franchise ahead of the upcoming season. The franchise got a brutal reality check as the inaugural 2008 champions chase their only second IPL trophy after a 14-year trophy drought. On seeing RR’s post on Twitter, Styris poked RR of their big dreams: “At least make them realistic (wink emoji)”. The former NZ star had placed RR at the bottom in his prediction table last season and the franchise ended up finishing seventh.

Led by Sanju Samson, Rajasthan only managed to win five victories in IPL 2021, lost record nine games. Samson emerged as the only positive for RR in the past IPL season. He smashed 484 runs in 15 matches which featured a century (119 runs knock). He had also smashed a couple of fifties.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) kicked start 2022 with a list of goals for the New Year, Sanju Samson was retained as captain while Jos Buttler was retained for his power game. Youngster Yashashvi Jaiswal was retained as an opening batsman for the Halla Bol army. The franchise is hoping to finally lay their hands on the trophy which depends on their auction picks.
