KKR happens to be Billings’ third IPL team, following stints with Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings. Among these three, KKR and CSK are multiple title winners, and the Englishman feels that organizational similarity between the two sides is what makes them successful in this competition.

“With the three franchises I have represented in the IPL, CSK obviously incredibly successful. Winning the IPL and also becoming the runners-up. Two years that I really enjoyed. KKR I think have a lot of similarities with CSK in terms of the organisation and consistency on and off the field. I think it plays a huge part in why both the franchises have been successful,” the 30-year-old said while spreading to NDTV.
McCullum makes the players more confident, claims Billings
Kiwi head coach Brendon McCullum is quite a popular figure in the KKR dressing room, given his friendly modus operandi. Like many other KKR stars, Billings too has heaped praise on ‘Baz’ for instilling confidence in the team.

“Definitely think Brendon McCullum’s (KKR head coach) fresh positivity is something I have really enjoyed working with so far and definitely a different approach to most coaches which is really good to experience. McCullum makes you feel confident as a player,” the 30-year-old from Kent stated.

So far, Billings has not really made his mark in the KKR team, failing to score 25+ runs even once. However, McCullum has kept his faith in him and will be expecting to see a fiery knock from the Englishman’s willow soon.
