What David Warner can offer to a new team?
David Warner had a forgettable IPL 2021 but showcased his mettle in the T20 World Cup helping Australia win their maiden title. He won the player of the tournament award and guided Australia to maiden T20 World Cup glory.
Warner had been uber consistent in the IPL before the 2021 season and subsequently had a fallout with the Sunrisers Hyderabad management, meaning that the southpaw will not be retained by the franchise.
David Warner led them to the title in 2016 and Lucknow will hope to bag him and secure a run bank at the top of the order, while he also provides a leadership alternative.
IPL 2022 Retention deadline- The deadline to submit retained players list for the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League is now just 5 days away. Most of the IPL franchises have finalized their lists but are yet to announce the same in open. The IPL Governing Council & BCCI has asked the franchises to submit the retained players list by 12 PM – 30th November.
