Head coach Anil Kumble, along with the first batch of players, reached the team’s hotel in Mumbai earlier this week and have completed their mandatory isolation period. Players like Prabhsimran Singh, Sandeep Sharma and Sri Lankan batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksa were all seen wearing the team’s training kits and hit the nets on Sunday. Apart from them other players like Ishan Porel, Vaibhav Arora, Baltej Singh, Jitesh Sharma are all said to be out of isolation and could have participated in the practice session.
Punjab Kings made an announcement earlier today regarding the appointment of Julian Ross Wood as the batting consultant. The team also released a video of him joining the training camp as he has completed his isolation. Wood is considered a pioneer in power-hitting coaching having worked with players across IPL, the Big Bash League and other T20 leagues.
