IPL 2022: Harbhajan Singh- MS Dhoni Former IPL cricketer Harbhajan who has played for multiple franchises, has picked MS Dhoni still the best captain in IPL 2022. He had played for Chennai Super Kings in 2018 when they became champions after a 2-year ban. The revelation comes as shock to fans as Bhajji is often seen as critical of Dhoni.

“When you have a captain like MS Dhoni, it is difficult to get someone and expect that person to replicate what Dhoni has been doing. To replace him as a captain (in CSK) is going to be a tough decision. It is a big shoes to fill. I still feel he is the best captain in IPL,” Bhajji told News 18.

“They tried with Ravindra Jadeja but failed and they have gone back to MS which is a great thing. It is going to be interesting to see how CSK performs beyond Dhoni. When we talk about Dhoni’s captaincy he has won the T20 World cup, the World Cup and even Champions Trophy and has been so successful in IPL. A lot of credit goes to him who has been running the show for so many years. He will always be in the dugout with CSK but being there and being on field are two different things,” he added.

Interestingly, Harbhajan Singh has spent a brief time in IPL with Rohit Sharma who guided MI to record 5 IPL titles. He didn’t pick him over MS Dhoni.
Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans and KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants among the top two teams in IPL 2022, Harbhajan still opted for MS Dhoni who return as skipper mid-IPL season.
MS Dhoni returned to the CSK helm against SRH and started off with a victory but lost the crucial game to RCB in the race for the IPL 2022 playoffs.
Dhoni has led CSK to 4 IPL trophies and 2 Champions League titles. He recently completed 200 matches for IPL. He had also led now-defunct Pune Supergiants when CSK was suspended for a couple of years in 2016-17.
Bhajji has played hundreds of international matches with MSD besides his lone season with CSK when they won the title for 3^rd time in IPL.
