The former India skipper will return to the field in the upcoming IPL season. Chennai Super Kings retained MS Dhoni as one of the four retentions along with Ravindra Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Moeen Ali, putting a full stop to speculations that said 2021 to be Dhoni’s last IPL outing.
Under Dhoni’s leadership, Chennai Super Kings lifted the IPL trophy for the fourth time in the 2021 edition, Chennai has one title less than the most successful franchise Mumbai Indians and the Whistle Podu Army will be hoping to level the score in the 15th season.
The IPL 2022 Mega Auction will take place on February 12 & 13 in Bengaluru and the franchises will look to rebuild their squad.
