IPL 2022: Ishan Kishan want to emulate Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma – Mumbai Indians costliest buy Ishan Kishan has revealed on Tuesday (February 22) that he wants to emulate the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Both the players are true legends of the game and have set a high benchmark for their contemporaries and peers. “Initially I used to think, Kuch na kuch acha he hoga yaar bas khelte rahao, run banate raho. But later, my point of view changed. When I look at Rohit, and Virat Bhai, and the benchmarks they have set for themselves that’s where I want to head. I want to be as dedicated as they are and try to emulate them.

First I used to think, chalo cricket acaha chal raha hai, everything is good. It took me a while to understand what goes in chalet rehna bit,” Kishan said to Times of India.

IPL 2022:Ishan Kishan also spoke about his bonding with Rishabh Pant. The former said they both share a great friendship and always hang out together. Both also discuss a lot on cricket matters. While Pant has established himself as the all-format wicketkeeper-batter, Kishan has been playing as an opener in the T20I cricket.  Both players were last seen in the three-match T20I series against West Indies.

Kishan was not at its fluent best and could score only 71 runs in three games. Meanwhile, Pant fared better and scored 60 runs in two matches.
