IPL 2022 LIVE Updates – IPL Ahmedabad Franchise Issue: The IPL GC will form the neutral committe that will look into the issue of Ahmedabad franchise.
International investment firm Irelia Company Pte Ltd, an arm of CVC Capital Partners, successfully bid for the Ahmedabad franchise for Rs 5625 crore last month.
According to the sources in BCCI, ‘the board doesn’t want to leave anything to chance and want to be completely sure before giving the team to CVC’
‘This is the reason the IPL GC has been called and they will form a independent panel comprising of some of the most well respect legal luminaries in the country’
An IPL governing council meeting is expected to take place before the Board’s AGM on December 4 to clear the formation of the neutral committee.
The panel’s ruling will be final and binding.

IPL 2022 Retention LIVE Updates: Can the deadline be extended?
The deadline for finalization of retentions by 8 IPL franchises is ending on Tuesday & the deadline for the two new teams (Lucknow & Ahmedabad) to finalize their 3 picks before the IPL auctions is suppose to start the same day – but now with a new development, in all likelihood the grapevine is that RETENTION DEADLINE will be extended – but BCCI is yet to officially release any statement on the same.
Why BCCI thinking to extend the deadline? BCCI in order to give both Ahmedabad and Lucknow equal number of days to figure out their 3 picks is likely to extend the deadline – but the formal decision will only be taken on TUESDAY.
