IPL 2022 LIVE Broadcast – Star Sports IPL Revenues: Disney Star Sports is ON-TARGET to cross magical figure of 4,200-4400 Crore in advertising revenues from IPL 2022 this year. The industry estimates say HOTSTAR is looking good to cross 600-650 Cr in IPL Advertising this year. This clearly means IPL 2022 will easily cross 5,000 in Advertising this year for Disney Star Network.

IPL 2022 LIVE Broadcast: Star Sports, Disney Hotstar’ON-TARGET’ to EASILY cross 5,000 Cr in IPL Advertising sales, 90% inventory SOLD-OUT

Star Sports IPL Revenues – InsideSport had earlier reported that Star had increased the rates by almost 20% for ON-AIR Sponsorship packages this year

It is worth noting that the official IPL LIVE broadcaster garnered 3200 Cr in advertising revenues from IPL 2021. With increased rates, number of matches & 2 more teams, this year STAR SPORTS is on-target to cross 4,200-4,400 Crore advertising revenue mark.

“We are completely on-target to achieve our sales numbers on IPL 15. It will be our best year and we are sure as always advertisers will get the best possible experience”, informed one of the core member of Disney Star Network Sales team.


Star Sports IPL Revenues – For the 15th edition of the league Disney Star has signed 15 sponsors.The broadcaster has signed deals with Cred, Dream11, Byju’s, TATA, Asian Paints, Spotify, Meesho, Swiggy Instamart, Kamla Pasand & Pepsi and various other brands.

Rates for IPL 2022 ON-AIR Sponsorship

  • Co-Presenting Partners: 160 Crores
  • Associate Sponsors: 90 Crores

It is worth noting that Star Sports has increased the rate of sponsorship packages & inventory rates by almost 20% vis a vis IPL 2021.

The same packages were sealed at 130-140 Cr & 60-65 Cr range respectively in IPL 2021.

“IPL 2022 is very special. It will have 10 teams, will be played in India, will have new format & most importantly new composition of the teams. All of these put together has created huge amount of buzz in the market & Star is rightfully encashing this buzz”, said one of the buying head at a leading media buying agency.

Star Sports IPL Revenues – IPL LIVE Streaming Hotstar: Not only Broadcast sales is phenomenal, IPL LIVE streaming on Disney+ Hotstar also has sold like HOT-CAKES.

Hotstar has onboarded 13 sponsors including Dream11 as the co-presenting sponsor, Tata and CRED as the ‘co-powered by’ sponsors.

Swiggy, Pristyn Care, Zepto, Ather Energy, Niyo, Parle Agro, Spotify, Livspace, L’Oreal and Spinny as associate sponsors.

“There is heightened interest from advertisers across categories for the upcoming season of Tata IPL owing to the addition of new teams, thus an opportunity for them to reach out to a new set of audiences,” Nitin Bawankule, head – ad sales, Disney Star, said in a statement recently. “All key features including Super 4s, Super 6s, Fall of Wickets and Milestones have sold out on our platform.”

Last year on DIGITAL Hotstar delivered Rs 400-500 crore sales revenue. In IPL 2022 according to industry estimates the SALES numbers should easily crosss 650 Cr.

This means the DISNEY STAR network put together (Broadcast & LIVE streaming) can deliver 5,000 Crore plus ADVERTISING revenues on IPL 2022.

IPL 2022 LIVE Broadcast starts with CSK vs KKR match on March 26th. The live broadcast will be available on Disney Star Sports and IPL LIVE Streaming will be available on Disney Hotstar.
