IPL Highest Salary Increase: Iyer is not the only one who has got BIG-INCREASE in his salary. SRH’s uncapped duo of Abdul Samad & Umran Malik have also got huge increase in their pay-cheques.

In capped players list – Mayank Agarwal of Punjab Kings was the biggest beneficiary. Mayank was retained for Rs 12 crore from a previous salary of just 1 Crore.

Kane Williamson, who is SRH captain, got a price rise of Rs 14 crore from his previous salary of Rs 3 crore.

R Jadeja has been retained for a whopping Rs 16 crore as Dhoni accepted a pay cut to settle at Rs 12 crore.

Abdul Samad & Umran Malik 4 cr (SRH)
Abdul Samad and ‘IPL Fastest Pacer’ Umran Malik had received just Rs 20 lakh and Rs 10 lakh respectively. Now their salaries have zoomed to new heights. The two SRH boys, who hail from Jammu & Kashmir, have been retained at Rs 4 crore each.

The biggest jumps were SRH uncapped players–

  • Umran Malik – Rs 4 crore from Rs 10 lakh
  • Abdul Samad– Rs 4 crore from Rs 20 lakh

  • Venkatesh Iyer- Rs 8 crore from Rs 20 lakh

  • Arshdeep Singh- Rs 4 crore from Rs 20 lakh
  • Prithvi Shaw– Rs 7.5 crore from Rs 1.2 crore
  • Mohammed Siraj- Rs 7 crore from Rs 2.6 crore
  • Sanju Samson- Rs 14 crore from Rs 8.5 crore

R Jadeja, who has been a vital cog of CSK for a number of IPL seasons, received a whopping Rs 16 crore to become the costliest IPL 2022 Retention for CSK. He has played 200 IPL matches and amassed 2000+ runs and 127 wickets.
Mayank Agarwal, who impressed everyone with his performance at PBKS, received a 12 times hike in IPL salary. His impressive performances helped him garner a skyrocketing jump from 1 crore to Rs 12 crore. He scored 424 and 441 runs in the last two IPL seasons.
Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson’s IPL salary jumped from Rs 8 crore to Rs 15 crore. He is the highest-ever run-scorer for RR in the history of IPL and the team will be built around him. He has scored 3000+ runs in IPL.
Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson was rewarded despite SRH’s horrible season. He will lead a team of youngsters which features youngsters Umran Malik and Abdul Samad. His price has risen from Rs 3 crore to Rs 14 crore. He has led in 33 IPL matches and won 16 games for the Orange army.
Andre Russell, who is key to KKR, has seen a steep rise in IPL salary. His price increased from Rs 8.5 crore to Rs 12 crore.
