“In terms of making a comeback, he (Rahane) always has the calibre. When he came back to the domestic side after playing Test cricket, he got a first-class hundred. He is someone who has always got runs. In the IPL, he is someone who has always been successful. I don’t think he is approaching the IPL to make a comeback; I think he is approaching the IPL to help KKR win the title,” the statement read.
Shreyas starts on positive note – Shreyas Iyer kick started his IPL campaign as a captain with a flamboyant win against defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK). After stopping the opposition for just 131 runs, it was an easy walk in the park for KKR as they easily chases down the target with nine balls to spare. Ajinkya Rahane top scored with 44 runs while Shreyas contributed 20 runs off 19 deliveries.
