MI sick of the Buttler sight – Jos Buttler who has been in stellar form for RR in the entire season was at his best again as he smashed Hrithik Shokeen for four consecutive sixes in the 16th over. The second of those sixes brought Buttler’s sixth score of 50 or plus in the tournament, which interestingly was his third consecutive one against the five-time champions. While Buttler departed he had already done the damage, scoring 67 runs off 52 deliveries.
Iron grip over the Orange Cap – Jos Buttler now has firmly set his eyes on the Orange Cap, as he takes another giant step towards the prize. Buttler now has 566 runs in 9 matches. KL Rahul, who stands second in the standings, is 192 runs behind Buttler as he now has an iron grip over the coveted prize. The likes of Hardik Pandya and Shikhar Dhawan are also in the top five, but don’t look like will trouble Buttler any time soon.

Most runs for RR in a single IPL campaign – Jos Buttler had another feather in the cap on the day as he became RR’s highest scorer in a single campaign as he went past Ajinkya Rahane’s tally of 560 runs in the 2012 season. The Englishmen now has 566 runs and with potential big games in the play-offs as well will have a golden opportunity to set a remarkable bar for himself, although he still remains a long way off Virat Kohli’s tally of 973 runs from 2016 season.
