Prithivi Shaw made a comeback to the DC playing XI after being sidelined due to illness. The young batter couldn’t make a huge impact on DC’s last group stage game against MI, as a brilliant spell from Jasprit Bumrah sent him packing to the pavilion.

The Delhi opener managed to score 24 runs out of 23 with 2 fours and a solitary sixer. Jasprit Bumrah trapped Shaw with a perfect bouncer to dismiss the batter. An inch-perfect bouncer direct towards the head of Shaw saw the Dc batter struggling to play the delivery.

Shaw was eager to make room for himself before playing the delivery. However, a bit too late in deciding what to do as he gloved the ball as a means of evasive action against a fiery delivery. The ball took off like a balloon and reached MI keeper Ishan Kishan who took an absolute stunner to dismiss Shaw who fell to the ground after missing his balance.

All in all, it was a delivery that had everything. From a perfect bouncer to a stunning dive catch by Ishan Kishan. Alas for DC, Shaw had to depart early without managing to score big runs as was quite expected from the young talented batter.
