IPL 2022: CSK Captaincy – There were signs and now it is official, Thala MS Dhoni has decided to hand over captaincy reins to Ravindra Jadeja ahead of IPL-15 campaign. “MS Dhoni has decided to hand over the leadership of Chennai Super Kings and picked Ravindra Jadeja to lead the team. Jadeja, who has been an integral part of Chennai Super Kings since 2012, will only be the third player to lead CSK. Dhoni will continue to represent Chennai Super Kings this season and beyond,” CSK said in a statement.

MS Dhoni led CSK to four IPL titles apart from two Champions League T20 titles since taking charge in 2008. He has had a winning percentage of 59.60%, only behind Rohit Sharma who led Mumbai Indians to five IPL titles.

MS Dhoni kept his future a mystery after conceding that he didn’t quit yet. However, at 40, it was expected that the time will come sooner than later. However, it remains a mystery whether MS Dhoni will now call it quits on his playing career.
InsideSport earlier reported that MS Dhoni did not make it clear to even CSK whether he will go into the Sunset after IPL 2022.
“It’s his call. We can’t make a comment on when he will take that call. For us, it’s important that MS plays for many years. But he hasn’t conveyed yet when he will take the call,” a CSK official told InsideSport.
