Chasing a huge target of 211, LSG at one stage struggled to keep up with the asking rate. Gambhir was sedate and was not showing his emotions. West Indies batter Evin Lewis and Ayush Badoni though took the attack to the opposition and brought the asking rate down.

Finally, when scores were level, the cameras zoomed on the LSG mentor. He was all pumped up and ecstatic. As soon as Badoni struck the winning runs, Gambhir threw a punch in the air let out a huge roar. LSG won the match with three balls to spare and pulled off IPL’s fourth highest run chase.
