IPL 2022: Gujarat Titans HERO Rahul Tewatia opens up on gameplan against Lucknow Super Giants, says ‘we tried to take the game deep and ATTACK in the death’
“I told to David Miller that we will take the game deep and start attacking at the death. This is Wankhede and we can play shots. Let’s give some time in first and then we will accelerate at the end. If we need 70 also in the last 5 overs we can still chase as the pitch won’t change much,” Tewatia told to Shami in the post-match conference.

Tewatia scored match-winning unbeaten 40 runs off just 24 balls and won the match for GT with five wickets in hand. Chasing a target of 159, GT lost Vijay Shankar, and Hardik Pandya. Tewatia though was confident about winning the match for his side and spoke about taking the game deep.
The GT all-rounder assessment of the game was spot on as he attacked Ravi Bishnoi and Deepak Hooda in the end overs. He played his shots and got his team over the line.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami set the match beautifully up by picking three top-order wickets for LSG. He bowled Test match and line and lengths and reaped rich rewards.
