The dynamic Aussie all-rounder is one of the players who have been on the unfortunate sides in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After having bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last couple of seasons, the right-hander has been down with his own injury issues. However, Marsh caught the eyeballs of the cricket world during his fabulous match-winning innings of 77 runs off 50 balls against New Zealand in the final of the 2021 T20 World Cup after which Delhi Capitals bought him for INR 6.50 Crore in IPL 2022 mega auction.

Mitchell Marsh sustained an injury while representing his country in the bilateral series against Pakistan last month. It was initially expected that DC would replace him, but they opted to integrate him in their squad so that he can continue his rehabilitation in India.

Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022: As for their performances, Delhi have had a mixed start to their season. They have beaten Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders, but have suffered defeats at the hands of Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans.

Their next match is against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday, April 16, and it now seems inevitable that Marsh will miss that game. Besides that, the big money signing could also miss the next two games against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals. As of now, it looks likely that Marsh will return to the blade in the return leg fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders, on April 28.
