1: Lockie Ferguson – GT

GT pacer Lockie Ferguson has been breathing fire with pace and impeccable line and lengths. He has so far taken 8 wickets in 6 games at an average of 25.00. The New Zealand pacer last played white-ball formats for the team in November against India. Since then he was out due to injury. Ferguson’s terrific performance and his wicket-taking skills is a timely reminder of why he should be in the team for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

  1. Shimron Hetymer RR

Rajasthan Royals batter Shimron Hetymer has proven to be a great finisher for his team. The southpaw has so scored 197 runs in 5 games at an impressive strike rate of 177.48. The youngster’s 59 off just 36 balls against LSG was his best knock so far. He took his time and then teed off in the last four overs. Hetmyer was dropped from the T20I team due to fitness issues.

With Hetmyer looking fit and coming roaring back to form, he has a very good chance of playing the T20 World Cup 2022.

  1. Bhanuka Rajaspaksa PBKS

PBKS wicketkeeper batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa has grabbed his opportunities well so far. The southpaw who shocked everyone with his international retirement has now reconsidered his decision. He was snapped up by PBKS for his base price and he did well in the three games he played for them. Rajapaksa scored a valuable 43 run off just 22 balls against RCB and followed it up with 31 off just 9 balls against KKR.

Before retirement, Rajapaksa was dropped from the Sri Lankan team due to fitness issues. In the IPL, the southpaw has run well between the wickets and also struck lusty blows. The wicketkeeper batter can be back in the team due to his stellar performances in IPL.

  1. David Willey RCB

RCB all-rounder David Willey has looked decent with bat and ball for RCB. He has chipped in useful contraptions at number four in absence of Maxwell. The southpaw also kept things tight in the powerplay and also looked decent in the death overs. The all-rounder was dropped from the England team due to poor form.

Willey’s all-around valuable contributions might see him back in the reckoning ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022.

KKR all-rounder Andre Russell has come back roaring back to form after his blitz with the bat. He has scored 179 runs in 6 games at an average of 179.00. The hard-hitting batter has remained unbeaten most often than not and has ensured KKR finishes well. Russell was dropped for the T20I series against India due to fitness issues, but he has made a terrific statement of sorts due to his phenomenal ball-striking at the death overs.
