Bowlers deserve to get the business class seat – According to Vivek whenever he travelled with Virat during the international tours Virat had a soft corner for bowlers.

“In a flight, two seats are reserved in business class – one for the captain and one for the coach. But I have never seen Virat Kohli travel in business class during a flight. He always prefers to be with his teammates in the economy class,” Vivek Razdan was quoted saying by Hindustan Times.

“Apart from the coach, there was always a bowler occupying one of the business class seats. It was either Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami or, sometimes, Ravichandran Ashwin. He felt that since the bowlers worked extremely hard on the ground, so at least for three-four hours, they should relax,” Razdan added.

How does the seating arrangement work? There is an unwritten protocol in the team flights, where two business class seats are reserved for team captain and team coach, while the rest of the team travels in business class. However, Virat would never use his business class seat and rather give it to a fast bowler like Ishant Sharma or Jasprit Bumrah. According to Virat Kohli, bowlers need good rest and rehab to rejuvenate themselves.

Won’t offer the seat to Anushka – “Even when Anushka Sharma joined the West Indies tour of 2019 later, she and Virat travelled together in economy class. Virat never requested for his business class seat to be given to Anushka,” Razdan said.

Virat has endured a tough passage in the IPL so far as he has amassed 128 runs in nine innings and will try to improve on his performance in the coming matches. RCB currently reside fifth in the table with 10 points.
