IPL 2022: Five EMERGING fast bowlers who have taken IPL by storm with their impressive performances in season 15: Check Out

RR’s Kuldeep Sen, who was a backup option has suddenly become one of the mainstays in the playing XI due to superb fast bowling. PBKS Vaibhav Arora has supported Arshdeep Singh well by bowling crucial overs in the backend of the innings.

Here at InsideSport, we take a look at five emerging fast bowlers who have taken IPL by storm with their phenomenal performances

1. Mukesh Choudhary – CSK

CSK pacer Mukesh Choudhary has been a revelation in the ongoing IPL. A left-arm pacer, he manages to swing the ball both ways and trouble the batters from that awkward angle. Choudhary’s best performance came against MI when his three wickets broke the spine of the MI’s innings. His highlight was Ishan Kishan’s wicket, wherein he bowled an unplayable Yorker, to which the southpaw did not have any answers.

In the seven matches that he has played, Choudhary has managed to pick 7 wickets. His economy rate has been on the higher side, but the left-arm pacer has made an impressive statement by taking crucial wickets.

  1. Kuldeep Sen – RR

RR pacer Kuldeep Sen made heads turn when he dismissed GT all-rounder Vijay Shankar with an unplayable ball. The lanky pacer can bowl fast with good control. He also showed his class against LSG by picking one wicket and giving away just 35 runs. Sen though sizzled against RCB as he picked up four wickets and guided RR to a stunning victory. The right-arm bowler has certainly announced himself in the IPL with a bang.

  1. Yash Dayal – GT

GT pacer Yash Dayal is another emerging player who has managed to grab eyeballs in his debut IPL season.  The left-arm pacer IPL debut against RR and impressed everyone by picking three wickets. Like Choudhary, Dayal also can swing the ball both ways. The GT pacer is also pretty quick and hits the lengths hard. He has picked up six wickets in just three games.

  1. Vaibhav Arora –PBKS

PBKS Vaibhav Arora has also looked the part. The youngster has not taken as many wickets as he would have liked but has been complimenting Arshdeep Singh well. Arora made his IPL debut against CSK and looked decent.

The youngster’s phenomenal economy of under 7 runs per over is what separates him from the rest. He bowls consistent line and lengths and manages to swing and seam the ball well. He has taken three wickets in five games. Arora was also part of KKR in UPL 2021.

5. Mohsin Khan – LSG

LSG pacer Mohsin Khan was given an opportunity against  MI and the left-arm pacer held his composure well to finish with figures of 4 for 27. Against the likes of Keiron Pollard and Suryakumar Yadav, the younger was not afraid to bowl to his strengths. He has played 2 games and has picked one wicket.
