Hasaranga followed it up with a stunning stop, almost pulling off the catch of the season. Deepak Hooda hit one off Harshal Patel over the covers with Hasaranga pulling off a stunning diving catch, only throwing it out to avoid touching the boundary. Not only did the Sri Lankan almost pull off the catch, he did save six runs with his presence of mind, which eventually proved to be vital.

Hasaranga was at it once again in the final over, denying Evin Lewis a boundary with LSG needing 24 off the last 6. The save also meant that Lewis was forced off strike, which eased Harshal Patel’s defence in the final over.
