“It’s no secret that he is one of the best players to have ever played the game. He single-handedly built Chennai Super Kings and the culture. All of us as players are very proud and happy to have played under him and his leadership guidance. When it comes to off the field stuff, he doesn’t get involved much,’ said Bravo in an exclusive chat with IANS.
Bravo further stressed that Dhoni allows players to be themselves. There is no need to fit in but stand out of the crowd. The team celebrates everyone’s uniqueness from different parts of the world.
“He is very laidback, allows people to be themselves and brings acceptance that everyone is different. He allowed that to make Chennai Super Kings to be the team and franchise that they are when they have different cultures and people from different parts of the world coming in. MS always makes it clear that you want them to be themselves and that’s very unique and everybody shares that bond,” Bravo added.
Meanwhile, Dwayne Bravo is likely to be on the radar of the Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2022. He was not part of the mega retentions but the franchise would not want to lose one of its premium and experienced pacer. He has been a vital cog of CSK and his contribution in the death overs are unmatchable. CSK had bought him for Rs 6.4 crore in IPL 2018 but an ageing Bravo won’t cost too much this time around.
