Dewald Brevis – A dream come true – According to Dewald Brevis, it was a dream come true for him as he was fascinated by meeting Sachin Tendulkar in training. Dewald Brevis was part of the South Africa U-19 team and is considered a bright young prospect, having comparisons to AB De Villiers. He was brought in for a hefty sum of 3 crore rupees.
Tilak Varma also takes advice – Tilak Varma who made his debut for Mumbai in the opening match against Delhi Capitals (DC) was also full of praise for the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. He spoke about nervousness he felt while Sachin was around. He lamented that there are too many questions that he wants to ask Sachin and will be thrilled to ha e him around the team during the IPL campaign. Tilak scored a quick-fire 22 off 15 in the opening match against Delhi Capitals (DC) which ended in a defeat for Mumbai Indians.
