Devon Conway who had previously featured in a single game against KKR failed to impress his team. He later decided to take a week off when he traveled to South Africa for marriage. Upon his return from South Africa, he got a chance to feature against Sunrisers Hyderabad and went on to register the highest opening partnership with Ruturaj Gaikwad with an individual score of 85 not out.

Today against RCB it was no different. Taking against the RCB bowlers from the very beginning Conway went on to score 56 runs off just 37 deliveries. With 6 fours and 2 huge sixes, it can be said that CSK has found its perfect choice for the foreign opening batter.
Faf du Plessis has always been MS Dhoni’s go-to man in leading the attack from the front. But replacing the former IPL orange cap winner is never an easy job. With Conway displaying the very best of his form in the last part of the IPL season, CSK would be riding their hopes of a miraculous playoff finish on Conway.
