IPL 2022: Ganguly backs Kohli to come out of this lean phase – Kohli has lacked fluency in his innings in the ongoing IPL. He has scored just 128 runs in nine innings, which has also included two golden ducks. Ganguly though has positive words for Kohli and he has backed him to come out of this lean phase.
“They are great players and I am sure they will get back in form. I hope they start scoring runs soon. I don’t know what is going on in Virat Kohli’s head but I am sure he will regain his form and get some good runs. He is a great player,” Ganguly told News18.

A top BCCI official has also said that Kohli’s form is of huge concern and the selectors are started deliberating on his inclusion for the T20I series against South Africa. InsideSport has learned that both the national selectors as well as BCCI officials are very concerned about Kohli’s form.

“He is a great servant of Indian cricket. But his form from some time now is a huge concern now for the national selectors and BCCI”, confirmed the BCCI Official.
“See we don’t intervene in the selection matters. Selectors have to take call on Virat and others. We can’t give our judgement to them. Obviously they are concerned what is happening to him”, added the official

IPL 2022: Virat Kohli keen to turn things around
Kohli has scored a mere 128 runs in nine matches for RCB this season with 48 being his highest score. His promotion to the opening slot in RCB’s previous match after scoring back-to-back ducks too did not yield results as he was out for 9.
Kohli’s form has been one of the reasons for the inconsistent show of RCB who are currently at the fifth spot with five wins from nine matches.
The Bengaluru-based team, though, is hoping that the former India captain would return to form soon with captain Faf du Plessis backing him after their last match.
