The Australian batter had set a base price of INR 1 crore but none of the ten franchises expressed interest in the player. The decision seems to be an incomprehensible one, as he has been in fantastic form of late.
In the recently concluded Ashes series, Labuschagne struck a century in the Test match at Adelaide, while his career T20 numbers are decent as well. Though he is yet to play a T20I game for Australia, the 27-year-old has played 27 domestic T20 matches in which he has scored 666 runs whilst also picking up 21 wickets.
