He played at a strike rate of 147 to send waves to IPL franchisees who are in search of a new wicketkeeper with the potential to perform on the big stage. The recent innings also mean RCB might have to pay a big amount if they want his services for consecutive seasons.
A number of IPL teams will be vying for a quality wicket-keeper in form of KS Bharat. The latter has already proved his mettle in the IPL 2021 season. He played 8 games and scored 191 runs at an average of 38+. He looked brilliant behind the stumps throughout the tournament, leading to a national call up and also featured behind the stumps in absence of Wriddhiman Saha during Test matches against New Zealand.
After making his debut for just Rs 20 lakh in IPL 2021, stakes are high that his salary could even tenfold after his promising performance in his debut season. He once won a match off the last ball with a six required off the last ball.
